Candidates are known to fabricate elements of their CV, their career backgrounds or even their job titles. And whilst they may think these are simply little white lies, the reality is that any sort of fabrication comes at a cost; both to the candidate and the employer.

As a recruiter, how do you know when your candidate is lying? A recent article in Forbes, written by Mark Murphy, CEO of Leadership IQ, examined a study, entitled ‘Words That Cost You The Job Interview’, which analysed the languages candidate use in an interview.
