Shocking level of interview ageism revealed

One in four candidates have admitted to feeling discriminated against during an interview – mainly because of their age.

A recent report from CV-Library found that 39% of jobseekers claim to have been subject to ageism. After asking 1,200 candidates, 51% of them revealed they don’t know their rights when it comes to interview discrimination. 10% believed that they were discriminated against because of their race, 8.9% said it was because of their gender, 6.7% because of disabilities and 3.7% because of the university they went to.
