I find it unprofessional that an interviewer stopped an interview due to a tattoo, especially if it was as state just a name!
Tattoos, percing and clothing do not state how well someone will work.
I have three tattoos, and work in a leadership HR role, these have never stopped me.
When I see tattoos in applicants/new starters I smile as it reminds me we have an interesting workforce.

I am a 45 year old CEO and I have 11 tattoos.... but none of them are visible when wearing professional attire. I love my tattoos and I love tattoos on others, but I probably wouldn't hire someone with a hand tattoo. The problem is my clients and other staff would react unpredictably and I don't need the hassle. Someone like Costco can afford to be picky at their level of hiring and they have all walks of life coming into their stores so I support their stance on this occasion.
