Rec entrepreneur, 23, secures £700k funding for innovative firm

A self-proclaimed “school drop-out” turned recruitment entrepreneur has launched a platform aimed at young candidates, thanks to £700,000 worth of funding.

Jack Parsons founded Yourfeed, an online recruitment platform which helps jobseekers without a formal education – Start-ups.co.uk reports. The idea came as a result of Parsons’ own experiences of jobhunting, after leaving school at 16 without qualifications. The publication reports that teachers branded Parsons’ as having no hope for the future and no viable prospects.

    Great article and hopefully another success story. That being said more can and should be done on both fronts; Recruiters in this market should be helping the candidate demographic more and equally candidates in "Gen Z" may need to open up to regular opportunities and bide time...after all, it's on their side!
