How to stop your candidates from appearing desperate in interviews

The interview process can be a complicated warren of subtle nuances and tricky questions for candidates. Whilst employers often know within the first few minutes of a meeting if they like the prospective employee, a successful candidate will spend the rest of their time winning them over.

To do this, a candidate must conduct research into the company, practice common interview questions and work on their conversational skills; however, whilst being crass, displaying no knowledge of the firm and seeming unprepared may be big interview killers, coming across as too desperate or needy can have just the same effect and is often completely overlooked in the planning stages.
