How vulnerable are jobs to automation?

It’s a question on the lips of almost all workers in 2019. As the rising trend for utilising AI (artificial intelligence) and automation in the workplace penetrates nearly every industry, questions are being raised about just how adaptable the technology can be.

A recent report released by the OECD found that, worryingly, tasks that AI is not capable of completing is shrinking rapidly. The report states that currently, 14% of jobs across 32 countries are categorised as ‘highly vulnerable’ to the threat of automation, whilst that number has the potential to massively increase within the next 18 months.
