    John Cleese's video (video Grandad?) "Manhunt" was released in 1974. I watched it during my CIPM training in 1980 (pre-CIPD). It was old then. Over 40 years ago it deal with precisely these issues - have we learned nothing?!

    HR has failed if managers are still doing this stuff.

    Great article. Hiring Managers also waste the moment by asking flimsy and empty questions.

    I had an interview where the owner of the company also spoke about himself for a whole hour, and didn't ask me any questions. Then offered me the job at the end of it!
