Rec firm conned out of thousands by employee

A rec firm employee has been jailed after stealing more than £6,000 from the company that employed him – Braintree and Witham Times reports. Sanjiv Bhatti admitted fraud by false representation of work done on timesheets whilst he was employed by Simcott Personnel Management.

The timesheets were used to pay Bhatti money and were signed off using fraudulent signatures. Bhatti was sentenced to six months in jail, suspended for 18 months, and ordered to carry out 180 hours of unpaid work.
