From garage to grandiose - Step inside Austin Fraser's new HQ

With client pitches explaining why they’re a great place to work becoming commonplace for candidates, as office experiences grow increasingly important when switching roles, more firms are offering perks to lure lucrative talent.

As duvet days, slides in the office or amazing break out areas complete with luxurious coffee machines become deciding factors in the hiring process, reeling out such incentives to your candidates is likely to spark rage in any recruiter’s inner green-eyed monster.

However, no employee of Austin Fraser will be letting their minds wander to the idyllic workspaces of their clients, with the firm recently creating a ‘workspace of the future’ at their new Reading HQ in Thames Tower – complete with rooftop garden, indoor golf course and pool tables.

Not only that, staff will be able to revel in their new beer garden, have the choice to work from a stand-up desk or enjoy a game of ping pong to de-stress. The tower also offers a 360-panoramic view of the Thames Valley.

The recruitment firm partnered with design firm Area Sq to create their impressive new workspace to “create a dynamic space” that accommodates their equally dynamic workforce.

Austin Fraser's CEO, Peter Hart, comments on the renovation: “We really believe that what Area Sq has created represents the future workplace. It will play a huge role in helping Austin Fraser reach the next level of growth with the right people, technology and environment.

“It was important for us to have an office environment which offered different types of space to accommodate the different types of people and working practices that run throughout the business. This inspirational workplace will play a key role in helping us to continue to attract and retain the very best talent.”
