A police department in Oklahoma have parodied a song from Disney’s Frozen in an effort to recruit new candidates.
Master Police Officer Carl Pendleton, the recruiter for the Norman Police Department, has sung his own rendition of ‘First Time in Forever’ in an effort to attract new talent. The parody of Kristen Bell (Anna) and Idina Menzel’s (Elsa) song begins: “Applications are open, yes once more, I didn’t know we did that anymore. Who knew that we would be hiring today?”
It then goes on to break in to the chorus: “For the first time in forever, we’re hiring at NPD. For the first time in forever, if you have questions come ask me.”
The video has already received tens of thousands of hits and is designed to alert candidates to the police department’s academy, which is now hiring. Pendleton says: “Don’t stay frozen in your current job, if you have ever had a desire to become a police officer visit our website.
“We don’t care if you are a bit of a fixer-upper or if you just like to have fun in summer, you’re in luck because July 13th our new academy starts – be a part of our team, join today.”
